Tax Clerk (m/f/d) - Finance and Controlling

Overview

Finance for Expats is seeking a dedicated Tax Clerk (m/f/d) - Finance and Controlling to join our team in Hanover. In this role, you will manage our financial accounting and ensure all tax-related matters are handled with precision. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial health and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting: Prepare and review financial records, including all business transactions, to support sound financial decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Act as the main contact for tax authorities, overseeing deadlines, and preparing and submitting all required tax documents and declarations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flows to ensure the company's liquidity, optimizing the dunning process as needed.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Handle monthly and annual financial closings according to HGB, and serve as a key contact for our tax advisors.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the management team, contributing to the company’s strategic development.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least seven years of professional experience in a law firm environment with client contact, ideally in the gastronomy sector.
  • Expertise: Extensive experience in payroll accounting and bookkeeping for small to medium-sized enterprises, preferably with DATEV. Proficiency in handling year-end closings according to HGB.
  • Education: Further training as a certified balance sheet accountant is desirable but not required.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
